Kit of branding materials created for a barber shop called Urban Cut.

Challenge

A barber and beauty entrepreneur was aiming to create a unique barbershop especially made for men in São Paulo. The space should be at the same time modern and vintage, to attract his target audience, which is made of elegant, hipster and sophisticated men. The goal was to create a strong brand to the barbershop and also to represent his exclusive product line.

Insight

As the store would be located in a huge and urban city like São Paulo, the idea was to explore the urban environment and its elements. I also wanted to use a reference to the barbershop services in the logo to clearly communicate the business purpose. The aim was to create a strong and franchisable brand.  

Solution

The brand design and name explore the urban concept, inspired by concrete and traffic signs – especially the yellow triangle – and at the same time communicate their services clearly through the word “cut” and graphic elements related to it. I also wanted to bring a modern and vintage touch to the typography and colors, relating even more to their audience.
